MOTH WOOD is a family farm located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains.
I’m Amber Tia, the owner of MOTH WOOD farm. I’m also the artist, designer, builder, head milkmaid, chicken wrangler, and idea person here. I’m a first generation, vegetarian farmer raising registered Nigerian Dwarf goats for their wonderful milk. When I’m not tending animals or making soap, I’m a painter & printmaker, with a love for creating flora & fauna inspired art. I have three small humans & a husband who help with all the goings on of our farm.
About Our Products
We only use pure & natural ingredients in our body care products.
We NEVER use anything synthetic, like micas, fake colors, synthetic fragrances, parabens, or chemical preservatives.
We also NEVER use controversial palm oil or palm products because we care about the earth and all the animals that inhabit it.
Pure Essential Oils
Our products are scented with pure therapeutical grade essential oils. We believe nature knows best when it comes to everything.
Spices & Coffee
We use real food grade spices like turmeric & poppyseeds, and ingredients like coffee & cocoa powder for natural colorants & exfoliants.
Flowers
Many of our soaps feature flowers grown on our farm as toppers, making our soaps just as beautiful as they are nourishing.
Clays & Charcoal
We use activated charcoal & clay from the earth such as kaolin & bentonite clay. These ingredients make excellent natural exfoliators.
Oils & Butters
Our recipes use simple food quality oils & butters like organic coconut oil, olive oil, raw unrefined shea butter, cocoa butter, & rice bran oil.
Beeswax
Our balms & salves use pure raw beeswax. Our farm has beehives from which we harvest wax & honey.
